10 TIPS FOR MICROBLADING BEGINNERS
Microblading has grown rapidly in popularity over the past 2 years and new artists enter in our community, daily. Whether you are new to Microblading or have thousands of active procedures, we've gathered 10 tips you should take into account.
a. You can perform the microblade procedure on ALL skin types, 2-6 on the Fitzpatrick Scale, including people with large pores, thick skin, thin skin, young and mature skin. And sufferers of alopecia can enjoy all the benefits of microblading. The only exception is people whose skin is extremely thin and suffers from rosacea. This combination of skin that bleeds very easily and is also very thin, or that has excessive bleeding, is not exactly desirable, because it dilutes the color, and the results are weak or very weak.
b. Well-executed lines are consistently healed and cleaned without scattering or spreading. Most lines are healing exactly as you place them. This is due to the fact that, unlike work on the device, there is no traumatism with a needle on the skin. Less trauma=cleaner lines.
c. Before you begin the Microblading procedure, you will need permanent suitable training for the makeup foundation. Microblading is an advanced technique and requires prior knowledge of basic makeup principles such as skin morphology, color theory, safety standards, hygiene, contraindications, design, and, most importantly, understanding the risks of pathogens transmitted in the blood. That's why we strongly recommend to everyone, not to practice this procedure without following a quality course with a very good trainer.
d. Before starting each procedure, check the needles with a magnifying glass. Why? Because you cannot check out the needles with the naked eye. Look for barbed, damaged or very little aligned arrangements. These needle defects can cause skin scarring and poor results.
e. You can start working on live models only after you have gained muscle memory. You have to practice the model for hours. Once you can easily repeat a set of eyebrows, then you are ready for the skin. Invest in Synthetic Leather Preparation for as long as you need and do not rush.
f. Line drawing is everything. Never underestimate the effectiveness of a perfect stretch of 3 points. A good stretch will raise your work from "good" to "excellent".
g. Customers must return every 12 to 18 months for maintenance. Hair peaks will disappear, but the work will not become solid and unclear. The model will still be visible and all you have to do is return to the same lines or add some new ones.
h. You need to use needles and disposables handles for each client, to prevent the spread of blood pathogens.
i. The results will vary according to 3 factors: 1.) client skin conditions 2.) technique 3.) tools. Some people come back with wonderful results, others do not. After about 1000 procedures, your experience and time on skin will keep you getting results constantly, because you will know how to change your technique with the different types of skin you encounter.
j. You can use any line of famous pigments, of your choice. But always use pigments from authorized distributors. They will guide you through the products and provide you the Material Safety Data Sheets.
See you soon,
